Periodic Financial Ratios
EXPLANATIONS:
• Since the collection of analyzable data in Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) format in the PDP system has started as of June 2016, financial ratio data has been used as of June 30, 2016; Change rates are calculated as of June 30, 2017, based on the same period of the previous year.
• Financial ratios are calculated for four periods per year, for periods of 3, 6, 9 and 12 months, and are published on the 10th business day following the last date of announcement on the Public Disclosure Platform of the relevant period's consolidated financial reports, as announced by the MKK within the scope of CMB regulations.
• “Periodic Financial Ratios” are the arithmetic average of the ratios of companies that have published their financial statements for the relevant year and period.
• “2016-2026 Average Financial Ratios” is the arithmetic average of the "Periodic Financial Ratios" calculated for 3, 6, 9-month and annual periods within the specified date range.
• Data of BIST Equity Market companies, whose accounting period start date is January 1 and whose financial statements have been published as of the last announcement date on the Public Disclosure Platform for the relevant period are included in the calculations. Banks, participation banks, financial leasing, factoring, financing companies and insurance companies are not included in the calculations due to their different financial statement formats.
• When calculating financial ratios, companies with zero numerator or denominator are not included in the calculations.
• In financial ratio calculations, the data in the "current period" column in the financial statements last published on the Public Disclosure Platform for the relevant year and period are used, and the data in the "previous period" column and retrospective adjustments are not taken into account.
• Retrospective adjustments are not made to financial ratios.
• Outliers are not included in the ratio calculations made for the sector and all companies. Therefore, the number of companies may differ in the ratios calculated for the same period.
• Since annualization is not applied for interim periods in ratios where the “Statement of Financial Position” and “Profit or Loss Statement” items are used together, the financial ratios for each period should be evaluated on their own or compared with the ratios for the same period of the previous year.
