MKK Revenue Index
EXPLANATIONS:
- MKK Revenue Indices are nominal indices. For each quarter, index is calculated by dividing the total revenues of last one year from the relevant quarter by the total of the base period adjusted revenues and multiplying by 100.
- In calculating the indices, the revenue figures in the "Statement of Profit or Loss" disclosed by companies in the relevant period within the scope of the Capital Markets Board (CMB) regulations are used .
- The indices are calculated quarterly and are published on the 10th business day following the last announcement date of the relevant period's consolidated financial reports which is announced by MKK within the scope of the CMB's "Financial Reporting" Communiqué".
- All companies traded on the BIST Equity Market are included in the index regardless of market segment. Except for “Holdings and Investment Companies” other companies in the “Financial Institutions” sector, (ie: Banks, insurance companies, leasing and factoring companies, brokerage firms, investment trusts, real estate investment trusts, venture capital investment trusts) are excluded from the scope.
- When there is a difference between the companies included in the calculation period and the comparison period, the positive/negative effect of the revenues of the companies on the total revenue of the period is eliminated by correcting the base value and thereby continuity of the index is ensured.
- The starting period of the index was determined as end of 2016, since collection of analyzable data in Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) format in KAP system was started in 2016-Q2. And the base value of index is the total of 2016 year-end revenues, and the starting value is 100.
